10/24 String Quartet 6 by the Alban Berg and Amadeus Quartets

Beethoven's first set of 6 string quartets (Opus 18) start out sounding like turbo-charged Mozart and Haydn - and end up sounding like primordial Beethoven.  Parts of String Quartet 6 sound like they could easily belong in the "Late Quartets".  Here's TWO performances of String Quartet 6 in Bb, Op.18, No.6 (1800), first by the Alban Berg Quartet, followed by the Amadeus Quartet's traversal.  So good it's worth hearing twice in a row...
